Air Vanuatu to add 13 new aircraft for domestic, intl ops by 2030: CEO

Air Vanuatu CEO Derek Nice reported the carrier plans to acquire eight aircraft for international services and five Cessna Caravans for its domestic segment by 2030 (Buzz 96FM/Vanuatu Daily Post, 29-Jan-2019). Vanuatu's Minister of Education and Training Jean Pierre Nirua said the Ministry signed an MoU with Air Vanuatu to train up to 140 pilots for new aircraft types by 2030. The carrier has one Boeing 737-800 and one ATR 72 aircraft in service, according to the CAPA Fleet Database.
