Air Vanuatu CEO Derek Nice reported the carrier finalised A220 fleet financing with one Vanuatu bank and multiple lessors (Daily Post, 14-Mar-2020). Mr Nice said: "The Government has mandated the airline to be self-sustainable and profitable… With these new financing agreements, we are reducing the Government's exposure and establishing the airline on the road to financial self-reliance, while positioning it for continued future growth".
