Air Vanuatu CEO expects strong growth in tourism from China to Oceania to continue for 20 years

Air Vanuatu CEO Derek Nice, speaking at the CAPA Airline CEOs in Seoul Summit, stated (04-Jun-2019) Chinese visitor numbers to Oceania have been growing at 20% p/a and this rate of growth is expected to continue for the next 20 years. "We don't have oil but we have Chinese tourism", Mr Nice said. He added that Vanuatu's traditional source markets, Australia and New Zealand, are important but Chinese visitors spend more money and are more adventurous.
