Air Transat suspends most international ticket sales, will halt all operations

Transat AT announced (18-Mar-2020) the immediate suspension of Air Transat air ticket sales to/from Mexico and the Caribbean and most destinations in Europe and the US, until 30-Apr-2020. The carrier will announce the date for a full halt to operations soon and is moving to reduce a significant portion of its staff via temporary layoffs and reduced work times or salary, in order to cut costs.
