Air Tanzania plans to shortly resume service to India with plans to launch four times weekly Dar es Salaam-Mumbai service with Boeing 787 aircraft (PTI, 17-Sep-2018). "Air Tanzania has recently received permission to operate into India from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation", Zanzibar Tourism Promotion Centre MD Jilesh Babla stated. The carrier previously suspended service between the two countries in the mid-1990s for commercial reasons.
