Air Philip aims to commence services to Japan in Dec-2018

11 November, 2018

Air Philip submitted an application to South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) for an international air operators certificate (JoongAng Ilbo/Maekyung News/Yonhap News, 09-Nov-2018). As previously reported by CAPA, MOLIT requires prospective airlines to have at least KRW15 billion (USD13.3 million) in capital and five aircraft for licences to be secured. Air Philip expects to take delivery of its fourth aircraft in Dec-2018 and plans to launch a service to Japan shortly thereafter. The airline recently signed a letter of intent to acquire one Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
