Air Niugini suspends Kieta Airport services due to theft of solar panels powering PAPI systems

Air Niugini, via its official Facebook and Twitter accounts, announced (11-Feb-2019) the suspension of services to/from Kieta Airport effective 12-Feb-2019 until further notice due to removal and theft of solar panels powering precision approach path indicator (PAPI) lighting systems at the airport.
