2 July, 2018

Air Niugini chairman Sir Frederick Reiher, via the Jul/Aug-2018 edition of the carrier's Paradise inflight magazine, reported (01-Jul-2018) one of the airline's highest priorities is development of Port Moresby Jacksons International Airport as a major hub for the Pacific Island region. Air Niugini hopes to develop the airport as a link between Pacific Island states and North Queensland with the APEC member nations and other Asian economies. Sir Frederick said Air Niugini is "exploring a range of new services, as well as upgrading existing services, to maximise the opportunities our modern, passenger-friendly international airport is providing".
