Air Niugini MD Alan Milne, via the carrier's official inflight magazine, reported (Jan-2020) the airline is "taking serious steps to further strengthen our financial performance, balance sheet and reduce our risk profile" in 2020, however does not "expect a drastic turnaround". Mr Milne stated: "Although the current financial market and economic climate is no different to last year, we are optimistic".
