Air New Zealand announced (04-Mar-2020) further capacity reductions to selected Asia, Tasman and domestic New Zealand services to the end of Jun-2020, as a result of the continuing impact of coronavirus. Key details include:
- Shanghai: From seven times weekly to "every second day" between 30-Mar-2020 and 06-Jun-2020, dependent on international travel restrictions;
- Hong Kong: The airline's Hong Kong service, currently operated by Cathay Pacific, will resume with Air New Zealand aircraft on 29-Mar-2020, reduced to five times weekly until 19-Apr-2020 and then to three times weekly until the end of Jun-2020;
- Taipei: Reduced to three times weekly in Mar-2020 and Apr-2020, and twice weekly in May-2020 and Jun-2020;
- Singapore: Reduced from 14 to 11 times weekly between 04-May-2020 and the end of Jun-2020;
- Seoul: Suspended from 07-Mar-2020 until the end of Jun-2020;
