Air New Zealand partners with ST Engineering for drone aircraft inspection

Air New Zealand and ST Engineering entered (17-Jun-2019) a partnership to allow the use of drones to inspect the carrier’s aircraft. ST Engineering developed ‘DroScan’ which sees a drone take a planned route around the outside of an aircraft to inspect its surface and produce high definition images. Air New Zealand DroScan trials will take place at ST Engineering’s Singapore Changi Airport facility where the airline undergoes heavy maintenance checks.
