Air New Zealand makes more schedule adjustments related to 787-9 groundings

Air New Zealand re-timed (11-Aug-2018) some international services and made a limited number of cancellations between 11-Aug-2018 and the end of Oct-2018 due to a global issue requiring earlier than expected maintenance on some Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines fitted to Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Air New Zealand reiterated it is doing all it can to minimise the impact of the unforeseen checks on customers and is also working to secure leased aircraft to help with additional capacity. As previously reported by CAPA, the airline leased 777 equipment from EVA Air and Boeing to help alleviate capacity issues. [more – original PR]
