Air New Zealand Jun-2020 pax increases sixfold over May-2020

Air New Zealand stated (28-Jul-2020) passenger numbers in Jun-2020 decreased more than 74% year-on-year to 430,000, however increased more than sixfold from 67,000 in May-2020. More than 94% of all passengers handled in Jun-2020 were domestic travellers. There were 17,000 passengers travelling in Jun-2020 between New Zealand and destinations in Australia and the Pacific islands, down by 95.5% from 354,000 in Jun-2019 and 9000 passengers travelled between New Zealand and long haul destinations, down 95%.
