Air New Zealand increases seat charges by up to 50%

Air New Zealand stated it would increase seat charges by up to 50% on domestic domestic services, noting: "We review and adjust pricing on a regular basis and this change is part of that process" (NZ Herald/Stuff, 26-Feb-2018). The carrier will increase seat plus bag fares from NZD10 (USD7.30) to NZD15 (USD10.94) from 27-Feb-2018, while FlexiTime add on fares on A320 aircraft will increase from NZD30 (USD21.88) to NZD35 (USD25.53) and FlexiPlus fares will be increased from NZD50 (USD36.47) to NZD55 (USD40.12). Changes also apply to ATR services between Christchurch and Wellington and Christchurch and Dunedin.
