Air New Zealand forecasts strong year in 2018, despite increasing price of oil

Air New Zealand, via its 2018 Investor Day release, forecast (13-Jun-2018) 2018 will be "another strong year", despite the carrier absorbing over NZD100 million (USD70.3 million) in higher fuel expense. The carrier reaffirmed its full year outlook for 2018 net earnings before taxation to exceed the prior year, based on the current market conditions and despite the increase in fuel prices.
