Air New Zealand experimenting with future technologies such as augmented reality

Air New Zealand chief digital officer Avi Golan reported (22-Aug-2017) the company is "experimenting with potential enhancements of the future" including the idea of cabin crew using the Microsoft HoloLens augmented reality viewers onboard aircraft. The carrier has partnered with CommBank in a five day experiment utilising Chip CANdroid, providing passengers at Sydney Airport with the opportunity to use the bank's social humanoid robot, which will interact with and assist them with check in and at the gate prior to boarding.
