Air New Zealand: CEOs 'need to get real' about gender balance and set 'real targets with teeth'

Air New Zealand CEO Christopher Luxon, speaking on the sidelines of the 2019 IATA AGM, stated (03-Jun-2019) airline CEOs "need to get real" about gender balance in senior aviation positions. Mr Luxon said airlines need to "set some real targets with teeth" while making sure the airline has "really good talent and professional management programmes in place". Mr Luxon additionally urged airlines to assess parental leave policies and "basic things that could get us moving into a different place in 12 months time".
