Air New Zealand cancels plans to resume two intl services and postpones Auckland-New York launch

    Air New Zealand revised (24-Apr-2020) its international network, with 95% of international operations suspended until 30-Jun-2020 due to government travel bans and low demand. The carrier added the following service adjustments:

    • Auckland-Buenos Aires and Los Angeles-London services will not be resuming;
    • Auckland-New York: Launch postponed from 29-Oct-2020 to late 2021 at the earliest.

    The carrier is operating a limited international network to keep air links open for essential travel and cargo movement on key trade routes. Total capacity has been reduced to 95% of pre-COVID-19 levels and demand will be reviewed on a route-by-route basis before services are resumed.
