Air New Zealand amends 787-9 schedules across network due to Rolls-Royce maintenance schedules

Air New Zealand announced (13-Sep-2018) plans to amend Boeing 787-9 schedules and aircraft across its network due to impacts on maintenance schedules for the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engine. Changes are as follows:

  • Perth-Auckland: Replace 787-9 with Boeing leased 777-200ER equipment on selected services;
  • Perth-Christchurch: Replace 787-9 with leased Boeing 777-200ER equipment on all services from Dec-2018 to Mar-2019. 07-Dec-2018 and 10-Dec-2018 services cancelled. [more - original PR]
