22 December, 2017

Air Madagascar chairman Eric Koller stated pilot recruitment is ongoing as the airline prepares to operate a subsidiary named Tsaradia (midi-madagasikara.mg, 19-Dec-2017). On the priorities for the carrier, Mr Koller stated: "We have established as a priority the revitalization of the internal network, through the establishment of a subsidiary that will be 100% owned by Air Madagascar. In fact, a contest that revealed 192 nominations from employees helped to find his name. I am proud to announce that the subsidiary will be called "Tsaradia"". He said the carrier's transformation plan is going as planned, noting that since his appointment on 30-Nov-2017, he became aware of the "huge challenges that await us, both in terms of organization and infrastructure". He added: "We are giving ourselves three years to re-establish the fundamentals within Air Madagascar: we must now curb delays, adapt flight programs, control costs, etc. This work begins inside the company, within the collaborators".
