Air Kiribati to acquire two new E190-E2s in 2019

    Kiribati‘s Government signed (18-Dec-2018) a USD243 million contract with Embraer on behalf of Air Kiribati for two firm Embraer E190-E2 aircraft orders and two purchase rights for the same aircraft type. The order will be included in Embraer’s 4Q2018 backlog. E190-E2s have seating of up to 114 passengers and range of 2850 nautical miles, allowing it to operate across challenging South Pacific routes including operating nonstop the current domestic Tarawa-Christmas Island service which has an international stopover in Fiji. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2019.
