Air Kiribati to acquire two new E190-E2s in 2019

Kiribati's Government signed (18-Dec-2018) a USD243 million contract with Embraer on behalf of Air Kiribati for two firm Embraer E190-E2 aircraft orders and two purchase rights for the same aircraft type. The order will be included in Embraer's 4Q2018 backlog. The E190-E2 can seat up to 114 passengers and has a range of 2850 nautical miles, allowing it to operate South Pacific routes, including nonstop Tarawa-Christmas Island service which currently has an international stopover in Fiji.
