Air Kiribati, via its official Facebook account, announced (16-Mar-2018) it signed a formal commercial agreement with the Government of Tuvalu to establish commercial services between Tuvalu and Kiribati, as well as a formal ground handling agreement. The first scheduled service is due to start in late Mar-2018. Air Kiribati stated it "would like to strongly acknowledge both the Governments of Tuvalu and Kiribati in making this all happen".
