Air France to cut domestic capacity by 40% by the end of 2021

Air France-KLM, during its AGM, reported plans to cut Air France domestic capacity by 40% as part of plans to meet environmental commitments and break-even by the end of 2021 (La Tribune/Bloomberg, 27-May-2020). CEO Benjamin Smith confirmed these route cuts will focus on city pairs with a rail journey time alternative of 2.5 hours and routes which do not feed the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport hub.
