Air France-KLM: Stake interest from AccorHotels impacted CEO appointment timeframe

16 July, 2018

Air France-KLM non executive director Anne-Marie Couderc commented on delays for the appointment of a new chair and CEO of the group, according to reports citing internal documentation at the company (Reuters/AFP, 13-Jul-2018). She said: "Some of these disturbances are linked to the way AccorHotels has manifested its interest Air France-KLM Group". She added: "The process, which was very well advanced in mid Jun-2018, has been slowed since by regrettable and negative external disturbances". As previously reported by CAPA, initial candidate Veolia CFO Philippe Capron had said "an external intervention blocked [his appointment process]".
