Air France-KLM Group: APIs an essential tool for customer loyalty

Air France-KLM Group open API strategy and digital product teams leader said application programming interfaces (APIs) are now an essential tool for airlines in developing and retaining customer loyalty (diginomica.com, 18-Nov-2019). According to Mr Bannier, Air France-KLM is building technology into its APIs with allow it to recognise business and frequent travellers and automatically trigger events such as loyalty discounts. The group is also using APIs in its freight operations, to support the expansion of partnerships.
