Air France has 'no plans' to adjust business class seats

6 February, 2020

Air France commented on the rationale for its new business class product, arguing it does not see sufficient demand to invest in different business class seats and separate cabins (Runway Girl Network, 06-Feb-2020). "On its domestic network, Air France already offers cabin separation thanks to a mobile curtain as part of its business offer... [though] the seat is indeed identical, many attentions are reserved for business customers", Air France spokesperson Cédric Landais said, such as a guaranteed middle seat and expanded catering options. He also said the medium haul business class offer is "adapted" to the journey time, such as to include further catering options. Mr Landais affirmed the carrier has "no plans" to adjust its business class seats so as to "adapt its seat offer to demand" while "guaranteeing optimum cabin space" for each passenger.
