Air France confirms biometric boarding passes to be rolled out on 'much larger scale' later in 2018

17 September, 2018

Air France stated (14-Sep-2018) its biometric boarding pass will be "rolled out on a much larger scale" at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport from autumn 2018. Air France developed the solution in collaboration with Idemia and Groupe ADP. Two cameras, positioned at the automatic baggage drop-off area or integrated in the security screening gate, identify and authenticate the passenger. From this point, passengers no longer need to present their ID. Tests were successfully carried out in summer 2018. [more - original PR]
