Air France CEO Anne Rigail said the aim for Air France HOP is to "transform [the company] and not to close it down" (TourMag, 23-Feb-2020). She pointed out that Air France's short-haul network is "extremely competitive", where 85% of business is directly confronted by LCC or high-speed rail. Commenting on negotiations with HOP pilots, Ms Rigail said: "going beyond proposals already made seems irresponsible to us for the health of the company". HOP pilot unions have voted to strike on 24-Feb-2020 and each consecutive Friday until 30-Apr-2020, as previously reported by CAPA.
