Air Canada president and CEO Calin Rovinescu stated the airline's acquisition of Aimia Canada and its Aeroplan loyalty programme is expected to produce "one of the best airline loyalty programmes in the world" in 2020 (Seeking Alpha, 15-Feb-2019). Mr Rovinescu noted the airline currently has more than 200 people in its digital and loyalty teams.
