Air Canada to launch two services to US with A220-300s from May-2020

    Air Canada announced (14-Aug-2019) plans to launch the following services with A220-300 equipment from 04-May-2020:

    • Montreal-Seattle: Daily;
    • Toronto-San Jose (California): Daily.

    The airline stated it will be the first North American carrier to operate the larger version of the A220-300. Air Canada VP of network planning Mark Galardo said the carrier is “deepening” its transborder network by “strengthening” its position in Seattle and upping its presence in the Bay Area, noting the new routes are “the first of many future possibilities” the A220 will provide.
