African airlines must position themselves to take advantage of forecast pax growth: IATA VP

IATA VP for Africa Raphael Kuuchi commented on forecast growth in passenger numbers in Africa from 100 million to 300 million p/a by 2026, stating: "All the airlines need to do is to position themselves well to take advantage of this and compete more effectively to become profitable" (tourismupdate.co.za, 18-Jun-2018). He added: "What we need in Africa is improved connectivity to make us more efficient and to make travel more affordable".
