Aerolineas Argentinas to eliminate premium cabin on 737 fleet

16 January, 2019

Aerolineas Argentinas CEO Luis Malvido commented on 2019 market projections, stating: "The market is growing well, but it's far from achieving its full potential. Aerolineas, with almost 70% market share is responsible for pulling this growth" (Reportur, 14-Jan-2019). Mr Malvido added that "we believe there's a very large unmet demand". The carrier's strategy to meet the demand is to increase aircraft utilisation and density with a Boeing 737-800 cabin reconfiguration project by eliminating the premium cabin.
