Aerolineas Argentinas removes commission to OTAs

8 May, 2018

Aerolineas Argentinas removed payment of commissions to OTAs for domestic services (Clarin, 06/07-May-2018). The measure will reduce costs by USD10 million to USD15 million p/a. The carrier is also renegotiating its contract with Sabre and Amadeus, seeking to reduce costs by USD29 million. Argentina's travel agencies association FACVE criticised the measure, stating the carrier pays commissions abroad, "where it register big loses".
