Aeroflot could be ready to work with Russia based reservations system from 2022

Aeroflot deputy director general for information and technology Kirill Bogdanov said the carrier could be ready to work with a Russia based reservations and sales system from 01-Jan-2022, according to a road map presented by Sabre (Interfax, 22-Nov-2018). Sabre proposed the establishment of a company with majority Russian ownership in 2019, the development of data processing centres in 2019 and 2020 and the relocation of all data and servers to Russia in 2021. Mr Bogdanov said the initiative would provide a platform based on the latest technology. As previously reported by CAPA, the Ministry of Transport announced plans to gradually introduce new requirements for automated reservations systems, including the requirement to locate servers and databases for reservations, sales and check in information for domestic air services in Russia.
