Flughafenverband ADV CEO Ralph Beisel said of the 22 international airports in Germany, only 11 reported growth in the five months ended May-2019 (dpa/aero.de/fvw.de, 08-Jul-2019). He argued the bankruptcy of Germania has contributed significantly to the situation. "The question of whether there are too many airports in the German market is often asked... shouldn't we ask whether there are too few airlines in the German market?", Mr Beisel questioned.
