ACI Europe: Regional airports 'essential, irreplaceable, engines of economic development'

ACI Europe reported (22-May-2019) regional airports in Europe welcomed an additional 251 million passengers in the past 10 years and boosted the direct connectivity of their communities by 28.8% since 2014. "Regional airports are putting hundreds of local communities not just on the European map but also on the global one. They are essential, and in most cases irreplaceable, engines of economic regeneration and development", ACI Europe DG Olivier Jankovec stated.
