ACI Europe: European airports register +1.7% passenger increase in Nov-2019

    ACI Europe reported (17-Jan-2020) European passenger traffic increased 1.7% year-on-year in Nov-2019, marking a “further deceleration” mainly focused on EU markets and reflecting both supply and demand pressures building up. Passenger traffic at EU airports increased 1.3%, a “sharp contrast” compared with growth registered in Nov-2018. HungaryPolandCroatia and Luxembourg were the only EU markets where airports achieved double-digit growth, while those in PortugalAustriaBulgariaRomaniaCzech Republic, Baltics, Cyprus and Malta grew at a lower but “dynamic” pace.
