ACI: 'Ecuador got it right'

ACI Latin America and the Caribbean, via its official LinkedIn account, stated (08-Jun-2020) it "makes economic and business sense" the Government of Ecuador's decision to reactivate the air transport industry. ACI argued that "almost immediately after" the reopening of the country's aviation, "a number of international carriers started to make announcements for the reestablishment of flights". ACI stated: "In the face of adversity, early positioning to secure the scarce capacity that will be available in the months to come my prove to be the right move". Adding: "By being the first to reopen to international aviation in South America, Ecuador is making a bold statement about its commitment to air transport and tourism".
