ABEAR: Brazilian 'carriers entered this crisis stronger than in other places in the world'

23 April, 2020

ABEAR president Eduardo Sanovicz, via Brazilian MP Jeronimo Goergen's official YouTube channel, commented (22-Apr-2020) on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Brazilian aviation market, stating: "The [Brazilian] carriers entered this crisis stronger than in other places in the world". He added that aviation halted in several locations in the world, while the Brazilian aviation is still connecting 26 capitals, Brasilia and 19 other destinations considered as key destinations. Mr Sanovicz explained that these services are "in the majority" operating due to cargo as in "several places if you don't reach by plane, you don't reach at all".
