Orlando International Airport: Brazilian traffic to reach new record in 2018

28 February, 2018

Orlando International Airport reported (27-Feb-2018) 486,000 seats are scheduled to operate from Brazil to Orlando for 2018. The previous record high was 361,000 set prior to the Brazilian recession. Greater Orlando Aviation Authority CEO Phil Brown stated: "Brazil is back! And this resurgence from our third largest international market brings a welcomed boost to the local economy. With the recent additional seats from Brazil, the projected economic impact for 2018 is nearly USD1 billion, up 111% from 2013". The airport said new service by GOL and LATAM, and capacity increases by Azul and Delta Air Lines contributed to the increase. [more - original PR]
